Founded in 2014, AMPD aimed to be part of the energy transition by building lithium-ion battery products. A few years after the founding, a construction company challenged them to replace their diesel generators with batteries. After extensive exploration, it became clear that not only could they replace diesel generators, but it could be done economically — reducing both environmental and financial costs. In 2019, the Enertainer, the first ESS designed specifically for the construction industry, was born.
