IT Administrator

JOB SUMMARY

To oversee and maintain all aspects of the company’s computer infrastructure including maintenance of networks, servers, programs and security systems. IT administrators are also responsible for upgrading and installing new hardware and software, solving problems to solve any problems related to computer systems, and ensuring that all IT inventory purchases such as hardware, software, infrastructure, and supporting equipment (mouse, printer, etc.) have met specifications, arrived on time, are stored correctly and are recorded in the company’s asset database in coordination with storeman. IT administrators are also responsible for making manual instructions and documentation related to the procedures and configuration of each system/ infrastructure/ software/ hardware implemented in the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Doing installation, maintenance, updating and troubleshooting both software and hardware used by the company.
  • Carry out server and network maintenance, security, system backups, post disaster recovery and troubleshooting.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to installation requests or software settings, upgrades including procedures and configuration of each system/ software/ hardware implemented in the company.
  • Coordinate all purchases of IT inventory with the purchasing department such as hardware, software, infrastructure, and supporting equipment (mouse, printer, etc.) and carry out the storage of equipment such as cables, boxes, and warranties.
  • Make reports and coordinate with admin assets (storeman) about the use of IT equipment in terms of number, users, status of goods (damaged/ repaired/ normal).
  • Ensuring specifications, brands, and quantities of IT-related goods procurement in accordance with what is needed by the user.
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed by the manager or by own initiative within known skills, knowledge and capabilities.
  • Ensure any IT project will be completed 100% within scheduled timeframe, using the right project management tools/skills.
  • Working together with team/vendor/other department to get best price, explore alternative solution and finding most suitable solutions for company environment and roadmap.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Management, or related field.
  • Min 2-5 years’ experience in relevant field as IT Administration.
  • Understand IT systems, infrastructure, databases, networks, telecommunication, hardware, and software as well as their utilities.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Fluent in English especially writing and speaking.
  • Having good Project Management skill (planning, executing, and reporting).
  • Any specified certificate needed in the job specialization, as required by the job’s demand and/or compliance to law regulations.
