What is SiConit?

SIConit is a silicon carbide composite material designed for the repair and protection of surfaces exposed to erosion, abrasion, and corrosion within a pH range of 0 to 12.

It is suitable for applications involving temperatures up to 100°C. The composite consists of a high proportion of silicon carbide combined with a cold-curing epoxy resin, making it ideal for restoring damaged metal surfaces or serving as a protective coating.

SiConit is Versatile...

…and can be applied on various products, including:

Pumps operate under extreme conditions, often dealing with highly abrasive and corrosive materials. SIConit provides a protective lining that reduces wear and extends the lifespan of pump casings, impellers, and volutes. This helps prevent breakdowns, reducing maintenance costs and increasing efficiency in industries like mining, wastewater treatment, and chemical processing.

In industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals, mixers and agitators are essential for blending materials. Constant movement and exposure to harsh substances can lead to rapid wear. By applying SIConit, these components gain enhanced abrasion and chemical resistance, ensuring longer operational life and improved performance.

Pipes and cyclones are used in industries like cement, power plants, and mining, where materials flow at high speeds, causing significant erosion. SIConit provides an impact-resistant coating that shields these components from premature wear, reducing downtime and improving material flow efficiency.

Storage tanks in industries such as oil & gas, water treatment, and chemical processing often suffer from corrosion due to prolonged exposure to aggressive substances. SIConit’s chemical-resistant properties make it an excellent choice for lining tanks, protecting them from corrosion and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
